Overview

Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Regional Director, Middle East & North Africa (MENA) to serve with Operation Christmas Child International based in Boone, NC.  We are looking for someone with bold faith and passion to share the Gospel in a closed-country context.  You could be part of equipping local churches and working with close to 170 year-round international volunteers in the Middle East & North Africa region for the advancement of the Gospel!  As Regional Director, you will be part of sharing the Gospel through evangelism, discipleship and multiplication to over 450,000 children each year!  Join us in what the Lord is doing in the MENA region!

Due to the complexities of the required international travel, applicants must hold a foreign passport, in addition to being authorized to work in the U.S.

A day in the life of a Regional Director:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Regional Director, MENA, you will spend your day working to encourage, train and develop staff and volunteers to reach children with the Gospel!  As the Regional Director, you will have the opportunity to provide vision for the MENA region, focused in the areas of program and people development, logistics, team building, Ministry Partner development, financial stewardship, and oversight of The Greatest Journey Discipleship Program (12 week discipleship program). You will directly supervise staff, contractors and volunteer leadership teams within your region.  In this position, you will have the opportunity to model and teach financial stewardship principals as you oversee the MENA regional budget and provide guidance for in-country specific grants of up to one million dollars.  This position requires frequent travel within the MENA region (80-120 days/year) as you invest in our OCC volunteers.  Join our team and see how God can use your gifts and talents to impact the Kingdom!

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience living and serving within the region
  • Experience managing, coaching and leading volunteers
  • Experience working with the local church; interaction with pastors, leadership and members
  • Experience leading a ministry within a closed-country context; passion to share the Gospel
  • Comfortable presenting and training in Arabic to small and large groups
  • Fluency in English (required); Intermediate to Fluent Arabic (required)
  • Experience with budgets and financial management
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required)
