Operation Christmas Child, a program of Samaritan’s Purse, partners with local believers and churches in over 100 countries to share the powerful message of the Gospel through a simple shoebox gift. Our desire is to continue to grow this exciting, life changing ministry so more children around the world are impacted by the Gospel.  We accomplish shoebox gift growth through the development of leader volunteers in the US who lead local volunteer teams promoting and growing the ministry of Operation Christmas Child in their communities.

We currently have an opportunity to join our regional team in the Chicago-land area as a Regional Administrative Coordinator.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • A personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to continue being an active, consistent witness for Him
  • Highly detail oriented and strong organization/administration skills
  • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion in handling confidential information and interacting with volunteers
  • Instinct to take initiative to ensure job duties are completed timely and accurately
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Technical proficiency with computer system, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required; experience with Studio Enterprise and Tableau software strongly preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training in an administrative-type role
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for all aspects of office management for the Operation Christmas Child Regional Office including communication, paperwork, office supplies and equipment
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection, training and managing seasonal office associates and volunteers to support the office and region at large
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records and all other Regional databases
  • Support media relations activity, speaker tours and countdown events. Attend local events and conferences as needed
