Samaritan’s Purse has an exciting opportunity the right person to join our Receptionist and Visitor Relations Team in a part time-on call position. This team member will have the opportunity to serve at Samaritan’s Purse campuses as needed in Boone and in Wilkes, NC.  The person well suited for this role will have a strong heart for hospitality and be at ease speaking with the public on the phone and in person. While serving with our visitor relations team you will have the opportunity to share how the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse is impacting the world as you give campus tours! This is a part time, on call position with anticipated hours of up to 520 on an annual basis.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintains a current working knowledge of Samaritan’s Purse history and mission, and demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and positively to the public.
  • Serve as an on-call backup for conducting tours of the Wilkes Office and Warehouse in North Wilkesboro and the Samaritan’s Purse Headquarters in Boone.
  • Serve as an on-call backup for the receptionist/switchboard operators at the Ministry locations in North Wilkesboro and Boone.
  • Serve as support for tour functions such as data entry, correspondence and creating gift bags and ordering materials for them.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers.
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the public.      

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree plus two (2) to four (4) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
