Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a DHIS2 System Manager to join our team in Boone, NC. You can be a part of a highly professional Information Technology team. As a DHIS2 System Manager you will provide technical guidance and support to Ministry departments and country offices using DHIS2 as a platform for the collection, management, and analysis of both routine and ad hoc/survey data.  You will be responsible for managing, supporting and maintaining complex configurations of the DHIS2 aggregate and tracker data models, system administration, analytics and dashboard development. Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a DHIS2 System Manager:

In the role of DHIS2 System Manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Manage the integration of the DHIS2 system and capacity building across Samaritan’s Purse offices globally
  • Lead in the requirements gathering, design, and configuration changes for the increased expanded use of DHIS2 as a ministry platform
  • Lead in the development, reporting, and data analytics for the DHIS2 platform to best serve ministry data consumers
  • Lead in creating and facilitating DHIS2-related internal training and internal capacity building throughout Samaritan’s Purse
  • Lead the coordination of DHIS2 server administration and maintenance using internal and external technical resources
  • Lead in architecting the integrations between the DHIS2 platform and other existing and future ministry systems
  • Provide administrative and user support for existing DHIS2 system
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related technical field of study and 5-7 years of experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile software development methodologies
  • Strong ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to manage complex IT systems integrations and rollouts according to tight deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of the entire DHIS2 platform
  • Strong ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Thorough knowledge of the implementation process of the DHIS2 platform
  • Ability to solve complex software implementation issues
  • Ability to liaison with multiple teams and departments to achieve timely results
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
