Our Mission Aviation team has an opening for an Office Manager to join our Greensboro, NC operation. This position will provide general administrative support for our facility. A day in the life of an Office Manager:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Office Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Serve as receptionist welcoming guests and other ministry staff in a joyful, positive and professional manner
  • Manage the lobby area on deployments by providing a confident, professional presence, ensuring that all guests, passengers, media and others receive clear direction and excellent care
  • Manage Greensboro facilities’ visitor log ensuring compliance with all TSA procedures and policies
  • Manage all incoming telephone calls, general correspondence, faxes, copying, reporting, and human resource support
  • Assist Flight Operations Coordinator with passengers and flight crew for deployments and serves as back-up when needed and as directed by Deputy Director
  • Manage on-boarding of new employees including new hire paperwork, badging applications and training, technology requirements and closing accounts for employees separating from the ministry, according to Samaritan’s Purse, FAA and TSA requirements
  • Maintain filing system to include all airport administration, and badging data
  • Coordinate MAS travel booking and itineraries and maintains traveler profiles
  • Receive and distribute USPS mail and interoffice materials (excludes small parcel and other deliveries)
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and establishes department-wide process for ordering.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or University; and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to think critically, handle change well, and make appropriate decisions
  • Demonstrates proactive flexibility - anticipating and adjusting to competing and complex work requirements
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects and to work independently
  • Proficiency in software systems (including Power Point, Outlook, FOS, Word, Excel, web browsers and video conferencing tools)
