We are currently seeking to hire an Emergency Response Program Coordinator to serve with our office in South Sudan. In this role you will use your experience and leadership abilities to provide insight, coordination, management, and implementation of program activities in consultation with Technical Advisors. A day in the life of an Emergency Response Program Coordinator:

In the role of Emergency Response Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Provide program leadership to the implementation of programs activities by working closely with the Technical Advisors (TAs) of the respective sectors to implement program activities and train beneficiaries
  • Develop and maintain a strong network and key contacts of local leaders and partners agencies
  • Work proactively to develop the capacity of the local staff to implement activities and produce quality work
  • Ensure mainstreaming of gender and protection into all program activities, in particular while working around culturally sensitive and difficult topics
  • Plan and coordinate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Analysis, and Learning team to conduct various assessments as needed
  • Work closely with the Technical Advisors and field teams on objectives, indicators, activities and develops clear monitoring frameworks for each project in collaboration with the M & E Manager and Deputy Emergency Response Manager
  • Provide budgeting and monitoring of expenses in line with the budget of each activities
  • Support the program team in security and feasibility assessments for new areas of intervention
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Agriculture, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field with two (2) to three (3) years of experience in implementing multi sectoral programs in a complex emergency context, with experience in all cycles of the project cycle; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience managing WASH, Health & Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Field experience in South Sudan or similar context and knowledge of the region
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies (can be completed after hire)

Type: Full-Time

Language Requirement: English Fluency required; Arabic a plus

Restrictions: Non-Accompanied

Travel Expectations: Occasional travel to field locations; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
