A day in the life of a Human Resource Coordinator, Associate

Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator Associate to join the awesome Human Resource team at our International Headquarters located in Boone, NC. The Human Resource Coordinator Associate provides administrative support for the HR Partnerships & Recruiting team. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with the HR Partners and Recruiting team throughout the process to ensure an excellent candidate/new employee experience and achieve staffing goals.

 

A day in the life of a Human Resource Coordinator, Associate:

In the role of Human Resource Coordinator, Associate you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Updates applicant records and HR systems accordingly.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews with applicants, Recruiters, and hiring department staff.
  • Alerts other Samaritan’s Purse departments of on-campus visitors via the Envoy system.
  • Completes background, reference, and social media checks and drug screens for selected candidates.
  • Arranges and coordinates travel for candidates as needed. Administers itinerary, authorization, and expense reimbursement process for travel.
  • Administers and records results of skills testing or other required candidate assessments as needed.
  • Provides thorough and efficient communication between HR and job candidates, hiring departments, and other Ministry staff.
  • Answers telephone inquiries, screens phone calls, and responds to requests for information about employment opportunities. Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate area or person.
  • Administers new hire process with a quality check during hire process to ensure that all documents are attached to profile.
  • Prepares and presents offer letters and new hire documents to candidate under direction of Recruiter.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Comprehensive knowledge of domestic and international recruitment and interviewing
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management within the organization
  • Ability to execute processes and programs to support them
  • General knowledgeable of applicable HR and employment law
  • Highly effective presentation, team facilitation, and training skills
  • Ability to resolve complex problems impacting people, process, and program issues
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies

 

Job Location: Boone, NC

Type:  Temporary – Full time – 3 months

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required);

* We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.   (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
