A day in the life of a Restricted Funds Finance Analyst:

In the role of Restricted Funds Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Serve as the principal liaison for all finance matters related to the Afghan Resettlement Program (ARP) and Afghanistan partner programs
  • Advise Restricted Funds Director and department Leadership on the financial management performance of ARP and Afghanistan partner programs
  • Assist in developing financial best practices and establishing Samaritan’s Purse protocols and standards to ensure compliance with the organization’s financial practices and procedures
  • Assist in budget creation and adjustments for ARP and Afghanistan partner programs
  • Ensure financial and accounting activity is carried out in accordance with Samaritan’s Purse accounting policies
  • Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting in regard to ARP and Afghanistan partner programs
  • Guide ARP-related field finance personnel to ensure organizational policies, procedures, and processes are implemented
  • Inform Restricted Funds Director of financial issues originating from and/or affecting assigned department programs
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of financial aspects of assigned Samaritan's Purse projects and activities in order to respond to general inquiries
  • Maintain detailed records for all financial transactions in an organized and professional manner
  • Ensure standards are kept pertaining to maintaining confidentiality for donors, partners, and security-sensitive information
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to calculate, present, and analyze financial information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, readiness, and ability to work with a diverse team in a pressured environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and independently.
  • A strong team player and adept at creating a strong team spirit
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook (required)
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
