Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a full-time Donor Ministries Representative to join the team in Fullerton, California. As a Donor Ministries Representative, you have the honor of representing the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. You represent the ministry to a broad audience of donors and the general public in response to ministry activities, public relations, and transaction activities. You are responsible for communicating with professionalism and excellence via inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and letter correspondence. You will have the opportunity of interacting with the public via telephone, correspondence, and tours at the Southwest Ministry Center location. A day in the life of a Donor Ministries Representative:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Donor Ministries Representative, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Assist donor and the general public by providing information on Samaritan’s Purse programming around the world, website navigation, financial transactions or account maintenance, and prayer, scripture and encouragement
  • Serve as support for tour functions such as data entry, correspondence, and creating gift bags and ordering materials
  • Serve as back up for Reception during lunch breaks and as assigned in the Ministry Center
  • Make outbound calls regarding volunteer scheduling and appreciation and survey calls
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Four-year college or university program degree and one (1) to two (2) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • This position requires the ability to work with accuracy, confidentiality, insight and professionalism for contact with donors and other departments
  • This role requires proficiency in ten different software systems in order to troubleshoot and resolve donation issues and to collaborate with other departments (DonorStudio, PayConex, WebServices, Avaya, Workfront, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and multiple web browsers)
  • It requires access to electronic and paper records including Donor software, donation information, 306 list records, and SP public drive, Outlook, and Donor Ministries’ files
