Our Human Resources team is looking for a Staffing Partner, International Disaster Response to join the team in Boone, NC. This position plays a vital role in the hiring process for the International Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) members and contributes to the overall mission of Samaritan's Purse, bringing tangible relief and the Gospel message to the nations! A day in the life of a Staffing Partner, International Disaster Response:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Staffing Partner, International Disaster Response, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships across the Ministry. This includes:
    • Conducting intake meetings for assigned sectors, regular follow-up communications and status updates, and calibrating on screening, interviewing, and selection decisions to meet changing needs
    • Develop strategic plans and implement staffing enhancements in conjunction with the Staffing Manager
    • Meet with hiring managers to qualify requisitions, market candidates, schedule interviews, obtain feedback and fill orders
    • Develop workforce planning strategies to meet Ministry objectives and goals for international disaster response
    • Maintain relationships with both hiring managers and high-level key stakeholders
  • Monitor the overall performance of the staffing program and develop continuous improvement recommendations and plans with functional/hiring managers
  • Stay abreast of current recruiting trends and staffing developments, work with HR Staffing Manager to adjust processes and systems accordingly
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field. Three to five years of related recruitment and staffing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM Professional Human Resources Certification or other recognized HR certification preferred
  • Prior experience with domestic and international recruitment, interviewing, and selection techniques
  • Minimum of one-year of international work experience while living in another country as an expatriate strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Application Tracking Systems, Staffing/Placement Systems, and CRMs
  • Thorough knowledge of workforce planning to meet organizational goals and experience working with/at all levels of management
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire

Type:  Full-Time

Travel Expectations: estimated 10% travel per year- potential of domestic or international travel; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
