Are you a staffing professional looking for a way to use your skillset for an eternal impact? Our Human Resources team is looking for a Staffing Partner to join the team in Boone, NC. In this position, you will have the chance to steward the hiring efforts for seasonal staff who serve in our 8 Operation Christmas Child processing centers around the United States. A day in the life of a Staffing Partner:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Staff Partner, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships across the Ministry. This includes:
    • Conducting intake meetings for assigned sectors, regular follow-up communications and status updates, and calibrating on screening, interviewing, and selection decisions to meet changing needs
    • Serve as liaison between the Ministry Partner, Staffing delivery teams and Staffing management on all staffing program related issues
    • Develop strategic plans and implement staffing enhancements in conjunction with the Staffing Manager.
    • Meet with hiring managers to qualify requisitions, market candidates, schedule interviews, obtain feedback and fill orders
    • Market the staffing program to the Ministry Partners, Volunteers and Candidates as appropriate
    • Develop and assist, as required, in problem solving strategies for Ministry Partner issues
  • Provide leadership, oversee and direct staffing for Assigned sectors and/or Ministry Center locations. This includes:
    • Manage processes involving advertising, promotion, recruiting, applicant tracking, interviewing, skills testing, reference checking, selection, extending offers, and orientation
    • Manage the day to day activities of the Staffing Specialist to include general management, coaching, counseling and training of direct reports
    • Proactively initiate sourcing pipelines, generate qualified applicant flow through active and passive sourcing activities, maintains active pipelines and email campaigns in prospect database, and coordinates off-site recruiting events
    • Monitor the overall performance of the staffing team and develop continuous improvement recommendations and plans with functional/hiring managers
    • Assist with annual budget preparation and administration for the staffing office
    • Handle all Human Resource functions for seasonal staff such as compensation, fair employment practices, performance reviews, disciplinary actions and hiring, onboarding and terminations of Samaritan's Purse employees as necessary
  • Stay abreast of current recruiting trends and staffing developments, works with HR Staffing Manager to adjust processes and systems accordingly
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and administration for the HR staffing office
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field
  • Three to five years of related recruitment and staffing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SHRM Professional Human Resources Certification or other recognized HR certification preferred
  • General knowledge of domestic recruitment, sourcing techniques, interviewing, and selection techniques
  • General knowledge of Application Tracking Systems, Staffing/Placement Systems, and CRMs
  • Thorough knowledge of workforce planning to meet organizational goals and experience working with/at all levels of management
  • Ability to work within a flexible work environment and non-traditional work schedules, as necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented
  • Experience in managing multiple projects/deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial employment law
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to communicate professionally through verbal and written communication
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies
