Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a International Recruiter to join our team at our International Headquarters locations in Boone, NC and/or North Wilkesboro, NC.  You can be part of selecting top talent to build teams in our international field office locations!  As a International Recruiter, you will be responsible to lead the recruiting processes from posting the position through job offer acceptance.  You will have the opportunity to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with your assigned departments and hiring managers.  Bring your international experience and team building expertise to propel the Gospel globally.  Join the team and use your gifts and talents for the Kingdom!

 

A day in the life of a International Recruiter:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of International Recruiter, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Attract, recruit, and hire qualified job candidates for Regular International Headquarters, Domestic Field, and International Field staff positions
  • Lead strategy meetings for job openings, conduct interviews for ministry-alignment and job-fit, and advise hiring teams throughout the recruitment, interview, and selection process
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies for assigned job openings
  • Generate qualified applicant flow through active and passive sourcing activities, building a pipeline for future vacancies
  • Communicate with candidates via phone, email, and letter as needed to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Proactively discuss workforce-planning needs with assigned departments and provide guidance and direction as needed
  • Maintain and ensure accurate database records of prospective, active, and former candidates
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and three (3) to five (5) years of related recruitment experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of creating innovative and robust recruitment strategies
  • Previous experience living or working internationally (required)
  • Thorough knowledge of business acumen and understanding of human resources, recruiting, and employee relations best practices
  • General knowledge of applicable HR and employment law
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with candidates and all levels of management, providing strong customer service support
  • Strong spiritual maturity and discernment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction; critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong social perceptiveness; active listening skills
  • Fluency in English (required)
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire

Type:  Full-Time

Language Requirement:  Fluency in English (required), secondary language skills preferred
