Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, is searching for a Speakers Bureau Assistant Manager to serve in the Charlotte, NC Ministry Center or at IHQ in Boone, NC. A day in the life of a Speakers Bureau Assistant Manager:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Speakers Bureau Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Provide on-going coaching and support to all active OCC spokespersons for national and regional speaking engagements and media interviews
  • Lead the processes, training, and assignment for OCC International Spokespersons
  • Assist the Speakers Bureau Manager to mentor OCC spokespersons through ongoing engagement, monthly devotional writing and audio recording, weekly social media engagement, and daily prayer
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop and oversee promotional resources and equipping items for OCC spokespersons
  • Create, submit, and oversee progress of all job requests
  • Travel to and support spokespersons at various national OCC events
  • Manage OCC spokesperson agreements and processes in collaboration with the Accounts Payable and Legal departments
  • Plan, organize, and execute annual OCC spokesperson training along with the Speakers Bureau team
  • Leads the annual evaluation and recommitment process for all OCC spokespersons
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Highly effective cross-cultural communicator, coach and presenter
  • Proven interpersonal skills, relationship builder and encourager
  • Strong writing skills; prior experience writing scripts
  • Demonstrates multi-cultural sensitivity  and understanding
  • High attention to detail; able to effectively multi-task
  • Beginner or intermediate verbal and written Spanish language skills preferred
  • Prior experience working cross-culturally is a plus

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Biblical Studies, Counseling, or related field and two (2) to four (4) years’ related experience or missions experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Approximately 15 days domestic travel per year
