We are looking for a Bilingual Social Media Specialist. With your fluency in Spanish, you will write creatively, moderate graciously, monitor trends, collaborate with colleagues, and share the Gospel with the nations on a daily basis.  Join us today!

Job Duties

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of daily Spanish-based social media platforms, providing research, writing, and/or proofreading.
  • Provides continuous post comment moderation on Spanish-based Facebook Page(s), particularly on recently published content for early analysis, with continued moderation throughout the weekdays and weekends during heightened audience activity.
  • Translates all content approved by the VP of Quality Assurance and Social Media for posting on Spanish-based social media platforms.
  • Per approved comment moderation procedures, detects and reports violations of audience engagement including spam, defamatory, abusive, harassing, derogatory, crude, vulgar, and/or profane language; irrelevant links, advertisements, and/or promotional content; and/or fraudulent activity from impersonating social media accounts and profiles. Sends to manager to respond.
  • Tracks sentiment, trends, and overall response in Spanish-speaking audience engagement on social media platforms.
  • Works with other departments and outside sources as necessary to obtain photos, videos, facts, or resources for Bilingual social media posts.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university in journalism, communications, or related fields and three (3) or more years’ experience with research, writing, or social media; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be familiar with social media tools, resources, and analytics.
  • Bilingual, specifically in English and Spanish. Comprehensive knowledge in reading and analyzing content in Spanish and English. Thorough knowledge in interpreting and translating Spanish-based content.
  • General knowledge in proofreading text and making corrections in spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and factual accuracy in English and Spanish.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of social media platforms including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Working knowledge Adobe Cloud programs, including but not limited to Photoshop, Premiere Rush, and Spark.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to write clear, concise, compelling copy for publication on social media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to use Macintosh/Apple computers and devices.
