A day in the life of a Human Resources Associate for DART

The Human Resources Associate will be part of the HR team that supports the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). This team has a great culture of working hard, having fun, and providing priceless assistance to the team that responds to disasters around the world. This temporary role will support all administrative and service needs. The role will ensure proper time entry submission for active DART employees, audit payroll records, support data entry, and serve as a backup for administrative hiring requirements. This is a great opportunity to make a difference during this busy season.

Job Duties

  • Responsible to provide timely response and strong customer service to Time Submitters across the Ministry for applicable DART payment. Advises on proper entry and compiles issues and questions for review by the HR Staffing Team.
  • Supports, reviews, audits and assists in updating worker/job data records and ensure that they are complete and accurate.
  • Reviews paystubs and payroll records against worker history records and ensure payment was received correctly. Locates errors/issues and compiles for review.
  • Serves as point of contact for IT and HR Time/Admins and fields questions as needed.
  • Responds to inquiries from DART Staff regarding payment, communicates corrections and issues as needed. Provides timely feedback through verbal and written communication.
  • Serves as a backup for administrative hiring duties related to HR DART Staffing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • General knowledge of customer service, skilled with written correspondence, appropriate phone etiquette for the occasional call.
  • Ability to manage time and organize daily responsibilities, shift direction, and work under time constraints.
  • Detail-orientated, ability to audit and review data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and at one (1) to two (2) years of related human resources or administrative experience; or equivalent combination of training/education and experience.

Job Location: Boone, NC

Type (Full-Time/Part-Time/Associate): Associate – Full time for 3 months

Language Requirement: English fluency required

* We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.   (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)
