We have an opportunity for a full time team member, working 40 hours per week to join our Housekeeping Department on 2nd shift at our North Wilkesboro, NC campus.   Housekeeping staff are responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings and offices. We are seeking a candidate with a servant’s heart and a team spirit!

SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday-2:00-10:30

JOB DUTIES

• Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Cleans buildings, offices, and restrooms by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and caring for floors.
• Cleans furniture, carpets, windows, blinds, doors, jambs, refrigerators, sinks, toilets, light fixtures, counter tops, and windows.
• Empties sanitary receptacles and removes trash from all buildings. Restocks supplies as needed.
• Reports any maintenance or safety items encountered during the course of scheduled work.
• Works with other staff to coordinate special assignments and complete tasks and duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
• Cleans offsite areas as directed.
• Assists with annual spring cleaning of all buildings.
• Follows planned cleaning schedule set by the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor.
• Launders all cleaning rags, dust mop heads, and cleaning cloths.
• Restocks supplies and refills soap and tissue dispensers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• General knowledge of basic cleaning and ability to learn the Samaritan’s Purse cleaning standards
• Ability to solve simple problems that may arise during a work day
• General knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• General knowledge of housekeeping safetly protocols
• Ability to learn and adapt to change

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing this job employees are required to be on their feet most of the shift. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
