As the Event Logistics Manager at Samaritan’s Purse, you will be a catalyst for increasing knowledge and support for the ministry. Your keen eye for detail, your administrative expertise, and your ability to facilitate meaningful connections for event attendees will bridge the logistical and interpersonal needs required to facilitate success. Your routine responsibilities working through event forms and time tables coupled with the personal touches that bring warmth and genuine hospitality will propel the ministry forward for the sake of the Gospel.

Job Duties

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Facilitate the extreme detail of event planning required to plan and execute events. 
  • Oversee the pre- and post-event logistics and programmatic needs of events, to include: registration management, shipping and receiving, setup and teardown, housing accommodations, food and beverage, audio visual, security, merchandise, and others materials necessary for a successful event.  
  • Serve as the primary contact for guest correspondence, through managing the Special Events’ email account and call-in registration support. Registration information managed will include contact information, session choices, payment information, travel arrangements, and overnight accommodations for attendees as applicable.
  • Work closely with Samaritan’s Purse ministry staff members responsible for the event to understand the vision, goals, and objectives, as well as provide economical setting solutions to execute. 
  • Provide on-site event support for events hosted by the Special Events Department and other ministry events as needed in order to ensure smooth execution of attendee registration experience, setup, strike, and overall event details. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Event Management, Hospitality and Tourism, Public Relations, or related field with at least three (3) or more years of related corporate events experience in a midsize-to-large public company; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to easily adapt and prioritize requests with changing demands.
  • Proven ability to organize and strategically execute plans.
  • General knowledge of event management, registration management systems and databases.
  • Highly effective communication and time management skills.
