Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, is searching for a Business Process Manager to serve at International HQ in Boone, NC. A day in the life of a Business Process Manager:

In the role of Business Process Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Support the Assistant Director to identify, implement and manage new strategic short and long-term IT initiatives and opportunities for the ministry
  • Maintain system and user documentation for OCC Domestic IT Programs; develop and conduct program training
  • Be Lead Project Manager for OCC Domestic IT Programs
  • Serve as a liaison between OCC and Information Technology departments
  • Manage user stories and testing of yearly IT initiatives and maintenance of established systems; build database of user stories for yearly testing and coordinate user acceptance testing of technology-related projects within OCC.
  • Oversee the strategy for all geographic information systems (GIS) data for use by all of OCC (International and Domestic) and associated support areas of the ministry
  • Oversee the strategy of server maintenance for GIS through the IT department across Samaritan's Purse
  • Support the 8 OCC Processing Centers during fourth quarter, including finding/responding to technical and software issues that come from PC apps or hardware needs. On-site training and support may be required
  • Oversee testing and maintenance of Processing Center hardware
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of relational databases to include MySQL, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL
  • High level ability to scope a project, identify risks, and manage stakeholder’s expectations
  • Understands User Acceptance Testing (UAT)  and able to effectively translate user stories
  • IT Project Management experience strongly preferred
  • Able to efficiently work within a fast paced environment and communicate effectively across departments

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA); and five to seven years’ related experience in IT Project Management and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred

Job Location: Boone, NC (no remote option)

Type:  Full-time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Less than 10%
