We are seeking an Assistant Director, Total Rewards. As the Assistant Director, Total Rewards you will be responsible for leading the implementation and administration of all international and domestic employee benefit and compensation programs and practices. We're searching for someone who is a proactive change agent and who enjoys collaborating with leaders across the ministry. In this role, you will be serving as a working manager and strategic leader while recommending and driving short-term and long-term benefits and compensation goals for the organization. A day in the life of an Assistant Director, Total Rewards:

In the role of an Assistant Director, Total Rewards, you will:

  • Lead the implementation, communication and administration of domestic and international benefit programs and plans. Evaluate and benchmark benefit and wellness plans, including cost and value analysis. Research, analyze and recommend plan design changes and improvements.
  • Lead the implementation and management of domestic and international compensation administration. Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending plan structure revision as well as new plans that are effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives. Ensure global compensation and salary administration adheres to established compensation philosophy, policies and consistent practices.
  • Evaluate, design and modify total rewards policy, protocol and process to ensure programs are current, competitive and compliant.
  • Monitor and audit legal compliance and organizational practices of total rewards administration, employee data and pay.
  • Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of new and trending total rewards practices and products.  Keep up to date with changes in best practices, relevant legislation and case law.
  • Directly supervises three (3) or more non-supervisory and supervisory employees.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to continue being an active, consistent witness for Him.
  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field with seven (7) or more years of related compensation and benefits management experience; or equivalent combination of education and total rewards experience.
  • Experience leading high-functioning teams to meet human resource service levels.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred. 
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP) or other recognized compensation certification preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of core HR practices and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge and technical aptitude of total rewards systems and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR policy and procedures with experience managing HR compliance and reporting.
  • Strong prioritization and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate and skillfully influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Willing and able to work at both a strategic and tactical level.
  • Thorough knowledge of related laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and political process.
