Overview

Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Senior Field Finance Manager (FFM) based in North Wilkesboro, NC.  In this position, you will develop, implement and coordinate the financial and budgetary aspects of several large departments within the ministry.  You will also have the opportunity to lead a team of finance coordinators as you serve these departments. Your leadership and expertise will directly impact ministry success both domestically and internationally, all for the sake of the Gospel.  Join our team today!

 

A day in the life of a Senior Field Finance Manager:

In the role of Senior Field Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Serve as direct point of contact for finance reporting and inquires for North American Ministries (NAM) projects, which includes Disaster Relief, US Rebuild, Alaska projects, and Operation Heal Our Patriots; Mission Aviation Services (MAS) projects in Greensboro, Wilkes, Africa, and Alaska; and Facilities
  • Maintain detailed records for all NAM, OHOP, MAS, and Facilities financial transactions, including local offices and field operation locations
  • Perform routine financial functions including: recording cash, check and bank transactions, maintaining ledgers, cash advances & reconciliations, investigating cash overages and shortages and reviewing journal entries
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare required monthly financial reports by specified deadlines
  • Work with the COO and the VP and Directors of each department in preparing and monitoring the annual operating and capital budgets
  • Review and approve Project Information and Request Forms (PIRF), and process financial field operations in the North American region as appropriate
  • Ensure adequate cash flow for operations and safety of financial resources at the various locations
  • Ensure contracts, payments, and deposits are current on all rental properties, facilities, and vehicles for the field deployments
  • Maintain close and cooperative working relationships with program and financial field staff
  • Provide support to each department with regard to financial policies/practices, and update/train staff as needed
  • Travel to various field offices and NAM sites to support current projects, as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Four year college or university degree required and three (3) to five (5) years’ related accounting experience; or equivalent combination of accounting education and experience
  • Previous management experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook required
  • Self-aware; builds trust and maintains confidentiality
  • Steward resources well yet allow space for “God room”
  • Flexible and able to lead through stressful situations
  • Fluency in English (required)
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required)

Travel Expectations: up to 30 days (domestic travel)
