We're searching for an Executive Assistant to serve with the Vice President (VP) of our Broadcast department. Job Duties

  • Works closely and manages Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) counterpart with regard to workflow, organization, purging, and set up of VP’s electronic and physical files, including preparation of meeting agendas and notes for projects at both Samaritan's Purse and BGEA.
  • Schedules appointments on VP’s calendar. Opens VP’s incoming mail as appropriate. Ensures that all of VP’s mail and correspondence is responded to as soon as possible.  
  • Directs department-related communications activities via phone calls, e-mail or by attending meetings as a representative of the Broadcast Department. Assists others within the department with administrative matters, correspondence, and mailing needs when requested to do so by the VP.
  • Completes VP’s Expense Reports. Coordinates all travel and other travel-related requirements and needs for VP. Ensures VP is briefed concerning all administrative matters within the department. Screens phone calls directed to VP and assists in responding to the calls and their requests. 
  • Gathers monthly and quarterly reports and ensures accuracy of those reports. Formulates department's monthly reports by maintaining all project records and logs. Distributes reports to appropriate parties on a timely basis on behalf of VP.  Ensures all Standard Operating Procedures are written and up-to-date and all departmental staff understand the procedures. 
  • Interfaces with the President’s Office on upcoming video shoots and projects for both Samaritan's Purse and BGEA.
  • Travels with VP to video shoots, conference, meetings, continuing education courses, training sessions, festivals, volunteer activities and participates in all related meetings as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, as well as able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 4-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dependable and shows attention detail. 
  • Experienced administrative professional with strong skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter and willingness to be adaptable with changing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to manage various tasks and maintain a professional, positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
