Opportunity Overview:

We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to join our internal IT Department!  This engineer performs technical analysis of network and cybersecurity issues and outages as they occur across ministry networks and data center operations, then researches, troubleshoots, and resolves the issue or, depending upon complexity, escalates the issue to higher-level systems administrators and network engineers.  Also, supports multiple technical teams in 24x7operational environments with high uptime requirements.  If you are searching more than just a job, but a Career with lasting impact, come see how we accomplish that!

Technical Requirements:

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Monitors a variety of network and cybersecurity systems to ensure security of ministry and global operations.
  • Improves automation of repetitive tasks. Implements scripted and automated DB installs, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Configures, installs, and troubleshoots desktop and server hardware and related operating system software.
  • Supports integrity of network services such as e-mail, Internet, and/or telephone service under general direction of supervisor.
  • Assists with performance and capacity monitoring, reporting status to supervisor.
  • Works with data center partners in the event of an outage.
  • Sets and communicates expectations for resolution.
  • Escalates or de-escalates issues as required and in a professional manner.
  • Documents incidents or outages in designated ministry tracking software and responds to incidents or requests submitted by data center partners.
  • Supports multiple technical teams in 24 x 7 operational environments with high uptime requirements.
  • Participates and aids in maintaining departmental policies concerning best practices and quality assurance.
