Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Senior Automated Tester to join our team Remotely! You can be helping the ministry build out our Testing frameworks and processes!  As a Senior Automated Tester you will be responsible for leading all automate testing including system, regression, and acceptance testing methods in order to provide reliable applications and systmems for ministry global operations. Bring your automated testing background and knowledge to a mission critical cloud build team. Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a Senior Automated Tester:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Senior Automated Tester you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Utilize automated testing tools such as Behat, Cucumber, Guage, Taiko, Selenium, or similiar for testing
  • Analyze test results, and discover and report defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
  • Utilize Java, Python, C# or JavaScript for test scripting
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under development or consideration to determine its intended functionality
  • Produce reports and documentation for all testing initiatives
  • Lead the effort to achieve testing code coverage goals.
  • Stand up local test environments and improve documentation as appropriate
  • Use SQL queries to validate test data results.
  • Demonstrate and document reproducible errors and provide bug reports
  • Maintain and create test plans with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
  • Create and execute test scripts, cases, and scenarios. 
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies, and the software development lifecycle
  • Direct hands-on experience with (1) automated testing tools such as Behat, Cucumber, Guage, Taiko, Selenium, or similiar 
  • Exposure to multiple development languages including Java, Python, C# or JavaScript
  • Ability to learn automated integration tools, such as Jenkins, to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Comfortable working in a Linux OS environment
  • Knowledge of repository tools such as Git,  and project management tools such as Jira
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies desried not required
