Position oversees and coordinates all off-season Charlotte warehouse activities including shipping/receiving, inventory, space allocation, and project management. This includes managing Gifts-in-Kind (GIK) inventory as well as recruiting, selecting, training, and leading warehouse volunteers.  Position is also responsible for managing warehouse setup/teardown of all shoebox-processing projects, leading temporary staff, and managing the OCC Drop-off during off-season.  Position serves in a key role in an OCC Processing Center.

In the role of Warehouse Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Receive, screen, inventory, and prepare GIK for pre-season shipments to Processing Centers
  • Manage and track volunteer projects throughout the year in preparation for Build-A-Shoebox Online packing, shoebox Processing Center season, and special shoebox processing projects
  • Lead the setup and teardown of various processing projects in the OCC Charlotte Warehouse including Build-A-Shoebox Online, Processing Season, and special processing projects as requested by the ministry throughout the year
  • Support OCC Operations with the preparation and distribution of Processing Center Kit equipment, supplies, and materials
  • Provide hands-on facilitation and/or scheduling support of outbound shipping/receiving projects that include over 300 trailers and 3,000 pallets in the OCC Charlotte Warehouse.
  • Coordinate and track the space allocation of inventory, projects, and temporary staging in the OCC Charlotte Warehouse.
  • Assist with managing and tracking the inventory of all equipment and supplies stored in the OCC Charlotte Warehouse.
  • Serve Operation Christmas Child in a management role during Processing Center season
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Highly organized and detail oriented team player
  • Prior experience with warehouse inventory management systems
  • Logistics and shipping experience
  • Able to organize and lead/coach volunteers and staff



Associates Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or university; and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
