Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, partners with local believers and churches in over 100 countries to share the powerful message of the Gospel through a simple shoebox gift.  Our desire is to continue to grow this exciting, life changing ministry so more children around the world are impacted by the Gospel.
Would you like to work for a global non-profit and know you are making a difference? We are searching for a dynamic Supply Chain/Transportation professional. The International Logistics Specialist is primarily responsible to manage the movement of international shipments of gift boxes and ministry materials to over 25 countries annually by executing international supply chain processes. This position will serve on the Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child (OCC) – USA/International logistics team by managing the supply chain for importation of 60 shipments per year.  This entails extensive attention to detail and maintaining a positive relationship with overseas volunteers, overseas service providers and co-workers. International Logistics is one of the four core components to have a successful OCC ministry with partners in over 100 countries worldwide. A day in the life of an International Logistics Specialist:

In the role of International Logistics Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Manage intermodal freight transportation
  • Strategize and implement sustainable importation plans 
  • Discover issues/problems and provide solutions 
  • Process analysis and improvement
  • Execution/Oversight of shipping instructions 
  • Reporting/Correcting information 
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in international/domestic supply chain or logistics in large scale shipping companies
  • Familiarity and experience in intermodal freight transportation
  • Ability to travel; 30-50 travel days/year, both international and domestic
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal work hours to accomodate partners in international time zones
  • Team player, effective communicator, initiative taker
  • High attention to detail with an ability to identify and resolve issues


Prefer Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; 3-5 years’ experience in the management of international/domestic supply chain, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Fluency in 2nd language (preferred)

Travel Expectations: 30-50 days annually, both domestically and internationally
