In the role of Administrative Assistant, you will:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.   In this role, you will also have the opportunity to:

 

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Assist the Regional Director (RD) with general clerical support for the Projects Department, to include handling telephone calls, e-mails, general correspondence, scheduling appointments, reports, faxing and copying, as needed
  • Serve as a liaison for the Regional Director for Projects, Communications, Donor Ministries and other IHQ departments 
  • Support Regional Director with project-related administrative and logistical duties.  Complete assigned projects with RD direction to initiate; obtain RD or higher authorization/ approvals as needed
  • Review, proofread, and copy edit monthly programmatic reporting prior to submission
  • Create and maintain active working files, e-files and summaries for each project
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Samaritan’s Purse projects and activities in order to respond to general inquiries
  • Oversee partner relationships and ensure proper reporting is completed
  • Serve on the Incident Management Team (IMT) as an Administrative Coordinator; prepared to respond to a disaster at a moment’s notice and commit evenings and weekends, as required
  • Make travel arrangements as necessary and process all travel expenses
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or university; and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Trustworthy and able to take part in confidential matters
  • Works independently and completes tasks without constant direction
  • Great at problem solving and thinking through complex issues to find the best solutions
  • Skilled in data analysis and report writing
  • Takes initiative and seeks ways to improve processes; willing to support other regional admins, as needed
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred, but not required

* We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other.  God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.  For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.   (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

* We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.   (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)
