Imprinted Marketing Inventory and Promotions Manager

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer.  We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well a special guest speakers who encourage us in God’s word.  We then join together to prayer for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.  We get paid to start each day this way! 

You will be given the opportunity to:

  • Work with Communications to help research and propose new, high-quality imprinted marketing and apparel items at a variety of price points for event gear stores, Samaritan Lodge Alaska gear store, online retail site, and ministry-use inventory
  • Create and evaluate sales and usage reports, anticipate future fulfillment needs based on past performance, and work with Inventory to determine which items should be discontinued
  • Research and propose economical, quality, portable fixtures that best display the imprinted marketing items
  • Oversee all aspects of gear stores at Samaritan’s Purse events
  • Foster consistency between various gear stores when appropriate
  • Work closely with Special Events to determine the best size and location for gear stores
  • Propose most effective store layout within the selected space, allowing adequate room for inventory
  • Work closely with Inventory and Communications to ensure proper quantities are ordered, received, transferred, and delivered on time. Follow procedures to ensure quick, smooth transitions without interruption to online sales
  • Work with designers to produce signage for displays
  • Coordinate with IT and Finance to set up iPads with merchandise items and proper tax rates
  • Propose number of staff and volunteers needed to set-up, run, and tear-down gear stores in accordance with procedures
  • Plan, schedule, and help coordinate travel details
  • Lead staff and volunteers to layout and set-up gear store displays that promote a pleasant, positive, and safe experience for visitors at each store
  • Train and manage staff to run each aspect of gear stores including restocking inventory, running registers, balancing cash, preparing deposits, and handling customer questions while ensuring all interactions are Christ-like and professional
  • Coordinate with Finance and Security to identify deposit locations, following all procedures for safe and timely final deposits

We need you to bring:

  • A personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to continue being an active, consistent witness for Him
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in business or nonprofit management or related field and five (5) plus years’ experience in Retail Management, Merchandising, Quality Assurance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 12-credit hours of college-level biblical studies required
  • Spiritual maturity; ability to keep the focus of work on the overall goal of sharing the gospel
  • Strong time management skills; ability to work effectively across multiple teams while meeting project deadlines
  • Strong relational and presentation skills; results oriented with strong customer-service and professional attitude
  • Ability and confidence to make strategic decisions; must have a high level of discernment and adaptability to changing demands
  • Domestic travel, 30-40 nights per year
