Our Lead Front Desk Clerk will monitor the day-to-day activities of the front desk, ensuring all guests are greeted in a warm and friendly manner while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service during check-in, throughout their stay, and at check-out. The Lead Front Desk Clerk will support the Samaritan Inn Manager with assigned tasks

A Day in the Life of a Lead Front Desk:

In the role of Lead Front Desk, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Lead, train, and coach Samaritan Inn Front Desk staff to adhere to expected high service and guest satisfaction standards while creating a supportive working environment.  
• Greet guests upon arrival in a friendly and professional demeanor and perform all check-in tasks including guest registration information, room assignments, key distribution, and sharing information regarding amenities. Provides check-out information and assists guests upon departure from Samaritan Inn. 
• Respond to guests questions, issues, and concerns in an attentive, timely, and caring manner. 
• Communicate with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy.
• Assist Samaritan Inn Manager by training desk clerks in the reservation system. 
• Follow established procedures to report maintenance issues follow up as needed. 
• Assist the Samaritan Inn Manager with room bookings by making reservations for groups.  
• Serve as point of contact in the absence of Samaritan Inn Manager.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures and respond swiftly and effectively, following protocol in any Samaritan Inn emergency, or unsafe situation, and promptly alert security and the Samaritan Inn Manager. 
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Associate degree and at least five (5) years of customer service experience with at least two (2) years as a team lead strongly preferred; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Excellent customer service skills in attentiveness, listening, and appropriate questioning to determine level of service needed 
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to lead, train, and coach team members
• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a friendly and caring manner 
• Ability to learn reservation software system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
