Samaritans Purse is seeking a Roving Finance Coordinator to work with our Finance Team located in North Wilkesboro, NC. The primary responsibility for this position is to support field sites from the International Headquarters (IHQ) or on-site by processing payment requests or expense reimbursements. This potentially includes serving on disaster deployments or long-term rebuild project sites.
A Day in the Life of a Roving Finance Coordinator:

In the role of a Roving Finance Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
Review, approve, and process financial transactions for Samaritans Purse field operations in the North American region as appropriate. Including invoice payment requests, field expense reports, non-employee expense reimbursements, cash advances, material service requisitions, transfers, monthly purchases, and fuel card reconciliations.
Support the Senior Manager of Field Finance and NAM, MAS, and Facilities leadership with financial reporting and transaction assistance as needed.
Participate in mentoring and training of assigned field and IHQ staff to use financial systems. Travel to field sites as needed and assigned, including to cover for vacancies or staff leave or for an emergency deployment on a disaster response while maintaining other assigned job duties.
Maintain a strong knowledge of Samaritans Purse and department policies to assist NAM, MAS, and Facilities in complying with policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:
Associates degree and at least one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Beginner to intermediate financial analysis skills
Critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Experience or thorough knowledge of accounting transactions, preparing and maintaining a variety of forms, records, reports, and documentation
Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to work with a diverse team in a pressured environment with flexibility and adaptability
Ability to work creatively and independently
General knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and related technologies
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Language Requirement: Fluency in English
Travel Expectations: approximately 60 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
