Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Donation and Data Processor to join our Mail and Data Processing team at our International Headquarters located in Boone, NC. This team is responsible for processing donations; as well as, preparing special receipts, acknowledgement letters and donor correspondence. This individual will support a ministry that is reaching the world for Jesus.

** Note:  This is a Part-Time position **

A day in the life of a Donation and Data Processor, Part-Time

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other and our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Donation and Data Processor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Accurately sort and process donations by removing contents from each envelope while following set procedures and guidelines to determine proper processing.
  • Verify checks and corresponding response devises for accuracy of numeric and written amounts.
  • Assist with keying electronic transactions that are captured through the Aperta software to complete an electronic deposit.
  • Accurately process all donation batches to meet ministry expectation of a 3-day maximum turnaround.
  • Accurately prepare special receipts, acknowledgement letters, and additional donor correspondence.
  • Reconcile unbalanced donation batches in a timely manner.
  • Process database account changes from various departments including those from Donor Ministries.
  • Assist with quality checking web import accounts and imported card requests.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality of donor information and records at all times.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one (1) to two (2) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Ability to work with accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality to maintain positive donor relationships
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing processes, procedures, workload and database changes with a positive attitude
  • Critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Less than 5%
