Operations Christmas Child (OCC) is a dynamic, fast-paced ministry of Samaritan's Purse, transforming lives around the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a Corporate Relations Manager, with an excellent ability to develop corporate relations for our Gift-in-Kind program (GIK). Are you experienced in high-level donor partnerships or corporate sales? Do you have experience with working with corporate clients with the ability to develop strong business relationships? This position will allow you to manage and grow the Operations Christmas Child (OCC) brand and public awareness, as well as generate more opportunities for Gift-in-kind donations annually through corporate relations involvement as well as track and report all inventory of items donated. This position is based in Charlotte, NC, or Boone, NC (IHQ).

A Day in the Life of a Corporate Relations Manager:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Corporate Relations Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  •        Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  •        Manage and implement a comprehensive plan for the solicitation of Corporate Gifts -in- Kind for Operation Christmas Child
  •        Maintain a portfolio of corporate relationships that impact OCC project-wide.  Some of these relationships have a history of giving $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 annually
  •        Attend trade shows, conferences, and conventions that are associated with needed GIK to prospect and develop relationships with potential donors
  •        Proactively research and solicit (by phone and in person) prospective companies and organizations for shoebox filler items in all shoebox gift categories including toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other
  •        Oversee according to Samaritan's Purse and OCC policy and procedure, accurate inventory, tracking, and reporting of all corporate gifts, including GIK collected at Processing Centers and Drop-off Locations. Responsible for the timely documentation, donor acknowledgment, donor appreciation, and reporting of all GIK donations
  •        Empower regional field management staff and volunteers to solicit and maintain local corporate relationships
  •        All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  •        Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and at least two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  •        Preferred experience and sufficient comprehension of sales, fundraising, customer service, logistics, and warehouse management
  •        Success in building and maintaining lasting corporate partnership
  •        Ability to provide customer service to perform most donor correspondence
  •        General knowledge of managing projects like arranging delivery schedules and reporting donations as soon as they arrive
  •        Preferred Cold-calling experience
  •        Strong level of comfort with managing databases and Excel to know basic principles and terminology and to understand and solve simple problems
  •        Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  •        Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.)
  •        12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, the opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required);

Travel Expectations: 75 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
