Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Communications team at our International Headquarters in Boone, NC. As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for handling integration of all marketing channels, driving audience growth and engagement strategies, and implementing fundraising campaigns to actively promote various projects of Samaritan's Purse. A day in the life of a Marketing Manager: 

 

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

 

 

In the role of Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him.
  • Collaborate with Samaritan's Purse departments and special project teams to develop creative and strategic ways to meet funding, promotional, and audience engagement needs. Build relationships and trust interdepartmentally. 
  • Develop and implement marketing, advertising, fundraising, and promotional strategies that optimize effectiveness and audience engagement across all platforms, including email, web, print, social media, broadcast, and live events. 
  • Collaborate with social media manager to build effective, coordinated campaigns.
  • Lead strategic thinking of marketing channel management and optimization contributing to fully integrated campaigns.
  • Provide strategic guidance for effective use of SEO best practices and leveraging editorial content to reach new and existing audiences.
  • Support Affiliate Offices in global marketing efforts and content distribution initiatives; provide strategic guidance and training as needed.
  • Establish Marketing Team development goals across all platforms.
  • Maintain Marketing Team budget according to approved strategy and team goals. Manage relationships and contracts with external vendors.
  • Establish key metrics to provide ongoing assessment for determining progress and success of all marketing initiatives. 
  • Oversee reporting and leads productive discussions to draw key takeaways from marketing analytics.
  • Liaise with Information Technology team to build ongoing marketing reports.
  • Stay current on latest trends, technologies, and tools related to marketing and content distribution.
  • Identify internal and external opportunities to highlight Samaritan's Purse content, maximize exposure, and increase support for ministry projects across available platforms.
  • Attend marketing, editorial, and interdepartmental meetings and collaborate with editorial staff to ensure consistency of messaging and editorial direction within strategic marketing plans.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
  • Attend daily morning devotion and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university, and at least five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. 
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies is strongly preferred.
