Samaritan's Purse is seeking an independent and positive individual to serve as a Front Desk Clerk for our Samaritan Inn in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will have the opportunity to interact with and serve potential candidates, donors, and Samaritans Purse personnel. This position is for 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

 

A day in the life of a Front Desk Clerk

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other and our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

 

In the role of Front Desk Clerk, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Greet guests upon arrival in a friendly and professional demeanor and performs all check-in tasks including, guest registration information, room assignments, key distribution, and sharing information regarding amenities
  • Provide check-out information and assist guests upon departure from Samaritan Inn 
  • Respond to guests questions, issues, and concerns in an attentive, timely, and caring manner
  • Ensure all Samaritan Inn guests have a positive experience for the duration of their stay
  • Ensure front desk, lobby, and common areas are neat and clean
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associates degree and minimum of two (2) years of front desk customer service strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and education 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain keen situational awareness and meet the needs of guests and/or provide resources before being asked
  • Excellent customer service skills in attentiveness, listening, and appropriate questioning to determine the level of service needed

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
