Are you searching for a unique opportunity to use your outstanding communication skills and administrative management expertise to help send the gospel to children and families around the world?  Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritans Purse, is searching for an  Field Support  Administrative Associate, OCC to serve at the International Headquarters in Boone, NC. You will provide administrative support for key projects supporting thousands of volunteers while also providing content and planning support for a global conference. A day in the life of a Field Support  Administrative Associate, OCC:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of  Field Support  Administrative Associate, OCC, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Manage the administrative components of volunteer background check processing and tracking for year-round Connect Volunteers and Processing Center Associates
  • Work with the Field Support Manager to support the development and implementation of content for Connect conference
  • Work with the Field Support Data Strategist on the creation of training documentation and data management for internal database
  • Provide administrative support to the Volunteer Relations team by supporting the MyOCC Help Desk and team mailings while maintaining inventory and physical resources
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required. One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly detail orientated with a demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relational skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • General accounting and finance knowledge
  • Maintains a flexible attitude and proactively looks for ways to serve others

Job Location: Boone, NC

Type: Temporary- Full time- 5 months

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Up to 10 days

* We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.   (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)

* We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.   (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
