Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritans Purse, is searching for a Speakers Bureau Specialist to serve in the Charlotte, NC Ministry Center .Come join an amazing team and help be a part of advancing Gods Kingdom to the nations!

A day in the life of a Speakers Bureau Specialist:  

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Speakers Bureau Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  •        Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  •        Lead the online pre-training for potential spokespersons, which includes at least 10 online calls to equip trainees on how to share their stories in public events, as well as prepare them for the in-person training
  •        Oversee the execution of personalized videos with select trained Full Circle Speakers, serving all 14 regions across the US. Prepare training materials and assure technology and system readiness for personalized videos. Assist in the training of select Full Circles for recording personalized videos
  •        Facilitate the growth of the Speakers Bureau by gathering, researching and investigating full circle story leads in order to determine potential speakers for OCC. Lead efforts in fully vetting all potential full circle speakers for authenticity/accuracy of story and ability to share with various audiences
  •        Assist in the training process of shoebox recipients, including the planning, organizing, and delivery of spokesperson training events as well as the yearly evaluation process
  •        Speak on behalf of OCC for national speaking engagements including partner conferences, volunteer conferences/events, ministry events, recording personalized videos, and at other forums with a national reach to promote shoebox gift generation and support for The Greatest Journey
  •        Support the Speakers Bureau Manager in mentoring other full-circle speakers through prayer and encouragement before, during, and after each tour, as well as throughout the year via phone calls, emails, and one-on-one meetings. Supports the spiritual development of full circle speakers through writing monthly devotionals
  •        Participate in regional and national speaker tours to include media interviews, churches, schools, community groups, Operation Christmas Child partnerships and other events. Also supports partnership meetings to include traveling with other ministry departments within Operation Christmas Child when pitching potential partnerships
  •        Collaborate in Speakers Bureau data analysis and reports, as well as the yearly evaluation of the contracted spokespersons
  •        Serve and become trained as an official Operation Christmas Child correspondent to serve as needed
  •        All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  •        A Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university degree; and four years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  •        Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  •        Highly effective cross-cultural communicator and presenter
  •        Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusion
  •        Proven interpersonal skills, relationship builder and encourager
  •        Strong comfort level with using technology of different platforms
  •        Demonstrates multi-cultural sensitivity and understanding
  •        High attention to detail; able to effectively multi-task
  •        12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Type:  Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Spanish (preferred)

Travel Expectations: 30-50 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
