Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, is searching for an Equipping Support Specialist to join the Volunteer Relations team here in beautiful Boone, NC. A day in the life of a Equipping Support Specialist

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Equipping Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

•        Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
•        Write and edit training scripts, reference guides, manuals and other documentation
•        Design graphics for online training resources such as infographics, PowerPoints and templates
•        Manage the design, production, inventory and delivery of volunteer equipping kits, including Leader start kits and ministry specific kits
•        Respond to remaining related to Helpdesk questions from field staff and volunteers. Serves as an overfull for the helpdesk at surge times including, but not limited to, conferences and technology launches
•        Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) to include updating and creating media files
•        Support the development and maintain of downloadable training resources
•        Organize warehouse inventory and supplies for the Volunteer relations team
•        Assist the Volunteer Relationship team with additionally projects related to the overall development of Operation Christmas Child project as needed including processing team expense report
•        All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

•        Bachelor Degree (B.A) or Bachelors of Science (B.S) and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience.
•        Strong editing and proofing skills of documents
•        Experience working in Databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
•        Experience in Microsoft Suite
•        Knowledge of Adobe in Design and other creative software
•        Communications background with typesetting
•        Customer Service experience
•        Tech savvy
•      12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
