Samaritans Purse is seeking a Senior Enterprise Applications Developer to join our team remotely. As a Senior Enterprise Applications Developer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, integration, and delivery of various PeopleSoft HCM/CRM applications and current IT systems components including reports, interfaces, conversions, customization, and implementation of Enterprise custom solutions. A day in the life of a Senior Enterprise Applications Developer

In the role of Senior Enterprise Applications Developer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Lead and participate in PeopleSoft and various System architecture design based on systems analysis and advanced understanding of IT systems and applications, development lifecycle, quality assurance/testing (QA), and integration methodologies
  • Lead in the assembling of applications documentation according to department standards, and presenting this documentation to other Business Systems Analysts and Application Programmers in order to clarify the applications structure and logic
  • Develop and maintain technical systems documentation, and be a lead influencer of complex systems design development and changes by identifying and recommending design and requirement needs for new enhancements
  • Oversee the coding, testing, and debugging of complex computer programs in compliance with standards and procedures using advanced techniques and appropriate languages
  • Implement and manage the PeopleSoft HCM Application Suite and assists with ongoing maintenance and incremental updates or fixes of the existing software applications.
  • Meet specific deadlines by effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a timely manner in order to meet the overall organizational timeline for the implementation.
  • Oversee and mentor more junior Applications Programmers to ensure that code being developed is regression free, documented and unit tested, aiding in the completion of these tasks when necessary
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Business Leads in determining the requirements and design of enhancements and providing technical services to solve root cause of break/fix incidents and bug fixes
  • Act as a lead liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and 4-7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, Finance or Campus Solutions version 9.2
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PeopleTools 8.57 or above including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, and SQR code for PeopleSoft customizations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced SQL data manipulation statements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the PeopleTools toolset, including such items as ElasticSearch, Fluid, Dashboards, Pivot Grids, and Drop Zones
  • Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC), Web Services and Web APIs, and Application integrations with Web Services
  • Strong Ability to meet tight deadlines on technical projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the development, testing, customization, updates, and/or technical process improvements within PeopleSoft
  • Thorough knowledge of coding methods and best practices, with the ability to research, design, document, and modify technical software specifications throughout the production life cycle
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred not required
