Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Broadcast team at our International Headquarters location in Boone, N.C. You can be helping the ministry greatly by administratively supporting leadership! As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for handling all correspondence, incoming and outgoing phone calls, maintaining leaderships calendar, and keeping leadership up-to-date on the status of all pending issues and concerns. Also, you will be coordinating all travel and other travel-related arrangements and needs for leadership, as well as completing expense reports. A day in the life of a Administrative Assistant:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Administrative Assistant you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Maintain leaderships calendar and ensure that all of the mail and correspondence for leadership is responded to in a timely manner.  
  • Ensure leadership is briefed concerning all administrative matters within the department. 
  • Screen phone calls directed to leadership and assist in responding to the callers and their requests. 
  • Coordinate all travel and other travel-related arrangements and needs for leadership, and complete leaderships expense reports. 
  • Oversee the upkeep, organization, purging, and set-up of the director’s electronic files and emails.
  • Participate in the Broadcast department’s communications activities via phone calls, e-mails, or by attending meetings as a representative of the Broadcast Department. 
  • Distribute all incoming departmental staff mail. 
  • Assist others within the department in administrative matters, correspondence, and mailing needs when necessary.
  • Operate under Samaritan's Purse and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Policies and the Standard Operating Procedures of the Broadcast Department. 
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 4-7 years related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle difficult tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies desired not required.
