Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Producer to join our team at our International Headquarters location in Boone, NC. As a Producer we need a seasoned creative professional with the ability to conceptualize, write, and produce short and long-form video productions, including skills in script writing, interviewing, and collaborating with a team of videographers, editors, audio mixers and motion artists. .  Bring your knowledge of video production to a team that is spreading the Gospel through this form of communication!  Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a Producer:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Producer you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Conceptualize, write, direct, and produce, in final form, special project videos, overviews, promos, direct-response spots, news pieces, documentary-style stories, fulfillments, PSA's, and 30-/60-minute broadcast quality programs
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and present different ideas periodically on how to most effectively communicate to new and unreached audiences
• Creatively conceptualize, develop, write, and produce high quality video and audio productions to support and advance the ministry activity of Samaritan’s Purse globally
• Guide other production team members including camera crews, editors, motion artists, and audio engineers, to complete assignments on message and on deadline
• Guide assigned projects through the phases of pre-production, production, and post-production by maintaining strong communication with all team members while working respectfully and effectively with other departments, organizations, volunteers, and nationals
• Work to complete Production work all around the world requiring international travel
• Schedule crews and accomplish shoots, interviews, and other duties necessary for pre-production 
• Work on projects in a lead or support role (under Creative Director’s supervision)
• Produce finished pieces using professional broadcast video and audio standards
• Creatively use graphics in productions and explore new and more creative ways to graphically add to each production
• Work effectively with other departments, organizations, volunteers, nationals, and others with sensitivity to other races and cultures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of professional broadcast video editing standards, lighting, audio, and photojournalism, and how to apply them
• Act as liaison between the Broadcast department and other departments to make sure all information is correct and coincides with other current information released
• Direct and instruct video crews, talents, and personalities in order to accomplish the objectives of the video shoot
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree and four (4) or more years’ related experience and/or training
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, flexibility, and work as needed to complete assignments on time
• Ability to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally, on short notice for varied periods of time, to accomplish the department storytelling goals
• Ability to decisively make prudent decisions during tight deadlines, pressure-filled, or emergency situations on location shoots or in-house
• Comprehensive knowledge of various production tools and software
• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies optional not required
