Samaritan's Purse is hiring a Bilingual(Spanish and English Speaking)  Multicultural Partnerships Manager to serve with Operation Christmas Child (OCC). This position is based in our headquarters in Boone, NC, but can also be based in our Charlotte, NC, Coppell, TX, Fullerton, CA, Englewood, CO or Aurora, IL Ministry Centers. This individual will manage, grow, and deepen the Operation Christmas Child ministry brand and public awareness, as well as generate more shoe box gifts annually through a specific focus on partnering with multicultural national churches, ministries, and community organizations. The position seeks to establish ministry/community group partnerships resulting in more shoe box gifts which allows more opportunities to share the gospel with children worldwide. In the role of  Multicultural Partnerships Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Annually increase participation and volume of shoeboxes by creating national partnerships
  • Manage, grow, and deepen the Operation Christmas Child ministry brand and public awareness within multicultural markets
  • Research, plan, and coordinate a working portfolio of potential partnerships to foster relationships and secure promotional partnership agreements
  • Work collaboratively with the Operation Christmas Child Brand Development Team in creating marketing materials for Spanish-speaking audiences as well as other languages as needed
  • Collaborate with Operation Christmas Child field offices (staff) and volunteers to create growth opportunities for Operation Christmas Child in Spanish-speaking and other multicultural churches at a regional and national level
  • Provide leadership and support at national conferences and events to strengthen current partnerships and strategically develop new partnerships by growing a multicultural network and cultivating those relationships
  • Manage budget to support the continual promotion of Operation Christmas Child to Spanish-speaking and non-English-speaking audiences
  • Serves in a Processing Center (PC) at the discretion of OCC leadership for a minimum of a week during the processing season in November/December. This may require temporary relocation to a Processing Center City
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Public Relations and/or Communications or related field from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English (required)
  • Strong cross-cultural communicator; able to make verbal and written presentations effectively in both English and Spanish
  • Comfortable with presenting to large audiences or small groups
  • Humble self-starter with the ability to strategically plan and think outside the box
  • Proficient in Office software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
  • Proven self-starter with demonstrated initiative  
  • Track record of success in growing and develop relationships within a multicultural context
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required)

Type: Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Spanish (required)

Travel Expectations: 70- 90 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
