Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Full-Time, Logistics Specialist to join our Projects Department in North Wilkesboro, NC.  In this position, you will have the opportunity to support the Projects Logistics Sourcing team in the form of vendor management, requesting vendor quotes, completing quote-related documentation, and maintaining records of in process and completed quoting projects. The Logistics Specialist will provide operational support to the Cleft Lip/Cataract team and the Projects WASH team in the form of inventory management, order picking, and outbound shipment preparation. A day in the life of a Logistics Specialist:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer.  We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well a special guest speaker who encourages us in God’s word.  We then join together to prayer for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.  We get paid to start each day this way! 

In the role of a Logistics Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Proactively develop relationships with new suppliers and maintains relationships with current suppliers
• Provide support to the regional teams in the area of procurement-related activities. Maintain detailed records of bids, quotes and analyses associated with procurement activities
• Excecute procurement projects and follow all internal policies and procedures. 
• Develop product specification sheets (including photos/shipping info) for repetitively purchased items.
• Provide operational support to the Cleft Lip/Cataract team and the Projects WASH team. This includes product labelling, put away, order picking, pallet building, and shipping document creation
• Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
• Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
• Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three (3) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
