Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our Operation Christmas Child (OCC- Domestic) team in Boone, N.C. As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing daily support to the Vice President of Operation Christmas Child. This position requires the ability to be both detail-oriented and flexible, transcribe correspondence, and prepare all official departmental communications while handling the Vice President’s Calendar, email, inbox, and reports. This position will provide admin support to areas of Operation Christmas Child as needed while acting as a liaison for the Vice President to other Samaritan’s Purse departments.  Come and use your gifts in administrative daily to advance the Gospel!
A day in the life of an Executive Assistant: 
At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.  

In the role of Executive Assistant, you will have the opportunity to: 
•    Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
•    Transcribe all correspondence for VP (fax, e-mail, letters, memos, etc)
•    Maintains daily calendar for Vice President (VP), including scheduling of appointments, media interviews, and speaking opportunities
•    Oversee VP’s Outlook and contact database. Regularly scans VP’s e-mail inbox and brings urgent items to the immediate attention
•    Facilitate approvals for OCC staff and acts as a liaison between VP and Samaritan’s Purse, as well as VP and departmental staff
•    Compile monthly reports for Samaritan’s Purse VP’s, corresponds with donors, handle telephone inquiries, and make follow-up phone calls
•    Develop a prioritized action item list for VP and assists VP in working through action items in an efficient manner
•    Communicate with offices of Samaritan’s Purse Vice Presidents at the direction of the VP relating to confidential information
•    Coordinate all travel arrangements for VP including travel reimbursements
•    Prepare all official departmental communications
•    Provide input and feedback on important matters, documents, and other items as requested by VP
•    All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience: 
•     Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Thorough written and verbal communication skills
•    Highly effective organizational skills
•    Ability to quickly collect and disseminate data 
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems 
•    12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required)
