Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an Administrative Coordinator/Quality Control to join our Broadcast team in Boone, N.C. As an Administrative Coordinatoryou will be responsible for performing transcription processes, including transcribing requested shoots and videos, distribution of transcripts to requesting departments, and maintenance of files related to transcribed materials.  Also, provides quality control for video captions and subtitles.  Come and use your gifts in administration and quality control daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of an Administrative Coordinator/Quality Control:

In the role of Administrative Coordinator/Quality Controlyou will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Review and approve all text graphics and subtitles for correct spelling and punctuation in completed videos, including name spellings cross-checked against release forms and staff lists.
  • Submit necessary feedback to post-production staff in production software.
  • Provide quality control for video captions and subtitles, edit caption files to ensure accuracy and quality, and post and distribute caption files as needed.
  • Maintain participant release forms in an orderly manner in the document management system, and track them to ensure all interviewees have forms on file.
  • Create and update production projects and video shoots in the production workflow platform, process production requests, and create production reports as needed. 
  • Update staff settings in the workflow platform as needed and add freelance staff to the production workflow system for scheduling purposes.
  • Transcribe video and audio interviews, stand-ups, appeals, sound bites, and messages from raw footage taken from shoots, or oversee completion of the same by freelance service. 
  • Process completed transcripts for distribution and archive when received from the service. 
  • Transcribe all finished video project pieces produced by the Broadcast department.
  • Transcribe all media appearances and project videos upon request.
  • Distribute transcribed materials to requestor or staff as needed.  
  • Catalog and maintain transcribed pieces in organized files on the network, and assist production staff in finding the required transcription necessary for video production. 
  • Research requests for transcription and work as a liaison between other departments that request transcripts.
  • Perform administrative support duties for the Broadcasting department to include typing correspondence, compiling reports, answering phones; keeping files; responding to mail, and mailing and shipping as assigned.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze and correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Strong ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Strong ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred not required
