We are in search of a Warehouse Associate, Facilities who will assist in the shipping and receiving activities of the Aurora, IL Samaritan’s Purse OCC Processing Center. You will be responsible for the detailed inventory, processing, organization and storage of materials while tracking supplies being used.  You will be entrusted with the accuracy of the package, scan and preparation of orders for delivery.  Join our team and make a difference for His Kingdom!

A day in the life of a Warehouse Associate, Facilities:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Warehouse Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Receive all items shipped to the warehouse while coordinating with Inventory Control.
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in proper location; ship items to the field as requested.
  • Track and log inventory in our system; update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and supply trailers.
  • Safely operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory.    
  • Prepare items for shipping including packing and documentation.
  • Interact with other Samaritan’s Purse departments as well as vendors in a professional, timely and quality manner.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.   
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public.
  • Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be certified for Power Industrial Truck Operation (forklift) with a good safety record. 
  • Must have a valid operator’s license
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Job Location: Aurora, IL     

Type:  Full-time/temporary

Language Requirement: Fluency in English

Travel Expectations:  Less than 5% travel
