Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Full-Time, Reception and Administrative Assistant to join our Donor Ministries team in Coppell, Texas. In this role you will provide the Samaritan’s Purse Southwest Ministry Center with reception support by greeting and assisting all guests to the Ministry Center, and answering incoming calls.  Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Donor Partnerships and the Senior Regional Directors by providing daily administrative support using Excel, SharePoint, Word, Outlook and other related office support software or equipment.  The Reception and Administrative Assistant will provide support in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner for the team by prioritizing assigned work and using time wisely. A day in the life of a Reception and Administrative Assistant:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer.  We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well a special guest speaker who encourages us in God’s word.  We then join together to prayer for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.  We get paid to start each day this way! 


In the role of a Reception and Administrative Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Work with and back up Partnership AA on daily needs and special projects
  • Maintain a working knowledge of department and ministry wide procedures and best practices
  • Support team leadership with department and interdepartmental communication, recordkeeping, database support and reporting
  • Complete all required reports and submits to Leadership in a timely manner
  • Educate RD/RAD team on ACRM usage
  • Remain informed and communicate with IT to maintain RD/RAD portfolios and provide information when appropriate
  • Set up/maintain accounts in database as information is made available by RDs/RADs or partners
  • Communicate account adjustments to appropriate relationship manager
  • Stay up to date and subject matter expert on any new database management tools available
  • Answer phones, proactively interact with callers in a warm, professional and positive manner, fielding general questions, and taking requests for information.  Determine the callers need and route the call to the appropriate person or department
  • Receive guests, vendors and salespersons. Follow the guest procedure by connecting the visitor with the most appropriate department or staff member. Assist guests, vendors and salespersons with Electronic Visitor Registration
  • Monitor the answering machine each morning for calls received after hours and during weekends, as requested Disburse messages as appropriate
  • Assist with the collection and/or the retrieval of keys for vehicles left on Samaritan’s Purse property overnight
  • Assist tour participants by maintaining contact with tour guides and facilitating timely staff response to group needs
  • During emergencies, assist with communications to Facilities, Security or Emergency Services
  • Update intranet phone listings and staff photos as staff changes are made
  • Follow procedures for accepting donations of all kinds from visitors on campus
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of Samaritan’s Purse history and mission, and demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and positively to the public
  • Maintain an orderly and neat reception area at all times
  • Assist with Donor Ministries’ social functions and team building activities
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
