Samaritan’s Purse is looking for an Administrative Assistant and Receptionist Associate who can provide outstanding customer service to our visitors, vendors, and staff at our Ministry Center in Charlotte, NC! The ideal candidate for this position is one with the heart of a servant who is detail-oriented, excellent in communication, and enjoys multi-tasking. You will serve alongside the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Charlotte Ministry Center staff to provide comprehensive administrative support with a particular focus on details. A day in the life of an Administrative Assistant and Receptionist Associate:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Administrative Assistant and Receptionist Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Respond to, welcome, greet and direct all guests, vendors, ministry partners and community members upon arrival
  • Support administratively OCC Domestic Operations and the Domestic Leadership Team, including Sr. Director, Directors and Assistant Directors, with travel arrangements, reimbursements, and other administrative functions as needed   
  • Support the Build A Shoebox Online Manger in the quality control of all shoebox orders
  • Coordinates all-onsite-staff communications, office supplies and equipment ordering and inventory, conference room scheduling, resource room management, etc.
  • Supports OCC Correspondence Team in responding to both social media and email inquiries, OCC Admin Team in expense processing, Volunteer Relations in processing of volunteer background checks, etc.
  • Receive and direct trucks/shipments/deliveries/mail
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required. Three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills

Job Location: Charlotte, NC

Type:  Full-time, temporary position ending on April 30, 2023

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
