Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Network Email Administrator to join our team remotely. You can be a part of a highly professional Information Technology team. As a Network Email Administrator  you will be responsible for comprehensive on-premise email infrastructure design, maintenance, and troubleshooting serving a global organization. Examples include on-premise Microsoft Exchange (hybrid or fully on-premise), Zimbra, NextCloud, or open source or commercial enterprise email applications. A day in the life of a Network Email Administrator:

In the role of Network Email Administrator you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Jesus Christ
  • Support enterprise-level email applications in coordination with Enterprise Systems and Storage Engineers, across multiple environments (production, staging, development, test)
  • Work closely with Storage Network Engineers, and Systems Engineers to design highly available email application delivery infrastructures across geographically diverse datacenters
  • Maintain email uptime requirements, taking into account load balancing, redundant ISPs/Datacenters, migration, and patching strategies to maintain high availability, both domestically and internationally
  • Handle responsibilities for backup and recovery operations for email applications where necessary, utilizing CDP technologies, tape libraries, SAN/Block level snapshots, and other technologies in conjunction with Enterprise Storage Engineers
  • Monitor and maintain historical data on email systems to include CPU, memory, service status, I/O, and more
  • Oversee the Change Control Management process for infrastructure in connection with email applications where necessary
  • Support the development of operational guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to prevent and/or resolve recurring email infrastructure problems
  • Provide support to the Business Analysts, Application Developers, and 3rd party vendors in the installation and troubleshooting of email applications
  • Implement, update, and maintain enterprise-level configuration management products
  • Create documentation of new and existing email system and server configurations and procedural information, and ensures email system and server configurations documentation is complete and accurate in coordination with Enterprise Systems Engineers
  • Support secure vendor access to email application infrastructure
  • Participate in rotating on-call support for infrastructure escalation needs
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Comprehensive knowledge with both Windows and Linux Server administration in a virtualized environment
  • General knowledge with programming languages VBScript, Bash, Korn Shell, Powershell, or other
  • General knowledge of Studio Enterprise (or similar), HR, and various Enterprise Financial Applications
  • Comprehensive knowledge with Microsoft Exchange (hybrid or fully on-premise), Zimbra, NextCloud, or similiar
  • ITIL certification preferred but not required 
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred but not required
