Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Paid Media Specialist to join our Broadcast team in Boone, N.C! You can be helping the ministry with media buying every day!  As a Paid Media Specialist, you will be responsible for negotiating and buying television, radio, and other advertising inventory for the ministry.  You will also ensure that ads reach target audiences through quality advertising channels at the lowest possible prices.  Bring your Media Buying background and knowledge to a mission critical Broadcast team. Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a Paid Media Specialist:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Paid Media Specialist you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. 
• Help identify target audiences and plan media buys.
• Negotiate rates and packages, maximizing added value. 
• Place radio, television, and other media time buys in national and local markets.  
• Identify and vet new advertising opportunities to drive growth and diversification. 
• Assist with Search Engine Marketing tasks as needed. 
• Analyze campaign results to determine ministry impact. 
• Identify and evaluate performance key performance indicators (KPIs)Coordinates the tracking and reporting of data for each campaign. 
• Offer market and industry insights.
• Communicate with Broadcast Department leadership and post-production staff to plan radio, TV, and other spot content for maximum results.
• Provide direction and procedures to the Donor Response team for television and radio lines and campaigns that incorporate a toll-free number. 
• Facilitates billing for Broadcast Department media buys to confirm invoices are reconciled.  
• Strategize with other departments on cross-platform campaigns. 
• Coordinate public service announcement (PSA) campaigns as requested.
• Determine which stations to contact for public service announcements based upon available market data.
• Coordinate distribution of PSA materials to radio and television stations.
• Assign toll-free phone lines for production pieces and performs periodic test calls. 
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year College and 2-4 years of related experience
• Ability to be an effective negotiator and critical thinker
• Strong ability to establish trust and build rapport with coworkers and media professionals
• Strong ability to drive thought leadership and growth through media buying efforts
• Strong ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level
• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred not required
