We are in search of a dynamic individual who can serve as Site Leadership Team Manager and lead a team of vibrant key leaders who fill critical roles during U.S. disaster responses.  Based in North Wilkesboro, NC, you will use your talents to manage Site Leadership Team members on disaster relief sites for North American Ministries, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.  Your heart is focused on leading, building and growing this team while providing and facilitating necessary trainings.  You have a keen sense of placing the right people in the right role while supporting program staff on the ground every day.  Come join an amazing team and help be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom to the nations!

A day in the life of a Site Leadership Team Manager:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Site Leadership Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Develop, collaborate, and maintain the business practices and operational aspects of the Site Leadership Team program
  • Manage all recruiting, selecting, engaging, training and scheduling SLT to assist in leadership on disaster relief sites
  • Conduct regular post action reviews and debriefing with SLT deployments
  • Assist field staff in managing difficult SLT relationships, assisting when and where necessary as a professional representative and mediator
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Volunteer Relations and Key Partner with special projects as needed
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, our donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public
  • Other duties as assigned that are not specifically identified within the context of this job description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Twelve (12) credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with managing, leading and growing volunteer teams
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Strong communication and relational skills

Job Location:  N. Wilkesboro, NC (No remote option)

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations:  Less than 10%

* We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other.  God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.  For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.   (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

* We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.   (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)
