Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Post Production Manager to join our team in Boone, N.C! You can be helping the ministry and Broadcast department with all things post production every day!  In this role, you will be responsible for managing video media services post-production staff and facilities on a day-to-day basis. Also, provides direction, strategy, training, and planning for all post-production needs, setting high work and behavioral standards by example as a servant leader.  Bring your passion and knowledge in the Post Production and management arena to help support a front facing forward leaning Broadcast team!  Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!

A day in the life of a Post Production Manager:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Post Production Manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage, develop, plan, and organize post-production schedules with tight timeframes.
  • Participate in regular pre- and post-shoot production meetings.
  • Utilize Avid Media Composer, Avid Pro-Tools, and all HD workflows from acquisition to final delivery and build new workflows.
  • Communicate with upper management, key ministry customers, and outside contacts in a professional manner.
  • Maintain current database of post-production freelancers, hire freelancers, and negotiates rates when needed.
  • Lead in the areas of post-production logistics and delivery of all broadcast video projects.
  • Follows procedures for all yearly Independent Contract agreements.
  • Manage post-production staff to ensure on-time delivery of all video requests.
  • Lead all crewing and production needs in the absence of the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate with engineering staff to ensure optimal operation of edit suites, graphic design systems, audio mixing equipment, and scheduling of regular maintenance and upgrades.
  • Represent Broadcast in weekly Broadcast/Communications meetings, planning the distribution of video content on Samaritan’s Purse website and outside media outlets.
  • Communicate with Production Manager, Creative Director, Editors, Producers, and Audio Engineers regarding equipment upgrades, various suppliers, and outside service organizations.
  • Encourage growth and training to maximize individual staff capacity to contribute to the creative process.
  • Liaise with the President’s office, Quality Assurance, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, third parties, and other Samaritan’s Purse departments to ensure that all video requests are delivered when needed and meet broadcasting standards.
  • Stay abreast of changing industry standards, techniques, and technology.
  • Innovate new solutions for production needs with a keen focus on research and development.
  • Communicate with the Director and Production Manager on the Broadcast department’s role in Samaritan’s Purse disaster response and coverage of Projects following Production Manager's bridge calls, and Communication department meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in related field of study and 5-6+ years of working experience
  • Thorough knowledge of TV production and post production
  • Working knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Avid Pro-Tools, and all HD workflows from acquisition to final delivery and ability to create and build new workflows
  • Familiarity with the use of compositing and motion graphics in the creative process
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies desired not required
